THE ROLE
The Marketing Director will be responsible for overseeing THE PRO’s marketing strategy, positioning this newly created golf entity for current and former professional athletes as a leader in the athlete/celebrity golf event space. This individual will lead all marketing efforts, including brand management, digital marketing, content creation, and strategic partnerships. The role demands a creative leader with a deep understanding of the golf and/or event industry, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive growth through innovative marketing initiatives.
THE WORK YOU WILL DO
Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote THE PRO Series brand, enhancing recognition and market presence of the tournaments within the overall series.
Oversee digital marketing efforts including SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, PR and website optimization to drive audience engagement, lead generation and elevating the overall profile of the series.
Lead brand management initiatives, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and consumer touchpoints (including players, brands, media & fans).
Collaborate with sales team to create campaigns and content that drive lead generation and client acquisition.
Manage the creation of marketing materials such as presentations, brochures, case studies, and videos that effectively communicate THE PRO’s value proposition to prospective clients.
Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to adapt marketing strategies accordingly; emphasis within the golf industry a plus.
Develop and maintain relationships with media partners, agencies, and industry influencers to maximize exposure and partnerships.
Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI) across multimedia campaigns.
Lead a marketing team, fostering creativity and growth, while collaborating cross-functionally with other departments such as Sales, Creative Production, Operations, and Partner Services.
Monitor campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to ensure optimal performance.
Stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring THE PRO remains a thought leader within the golf industry.
THINGS ABOUT YOU
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within the experiential or live event industry.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, multimedia campaigns, content creation, and branding.
Experience managing marketing teams and working collaboratively with sales and creative teams.
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Familiarity within the live event industry and CRM systems is a plus.
Passion for innovation, creativity, and staying on the cutting edge of marketing trends.
Comprehensive knowledge of the sports or golf industry with a track record of developing relationships and achieving partner objectives.
Must be a self-starting team player that contributes positive energy.
Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a fast-paced, mobile environment
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM experience.
Knowledge of sponsorship research tools a plus (MVP Indiex, Nielson, SponsorUnited).
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to company objectives.
Travel required.

Salary range $100,000 - $125,000 annually DOE.
